For eighteen years, Modjaji Books has been the heartbeat of independent publishing of southern African women writers, bringing vital voices to readers across the nation.

We have made big decisions this year, including changing distributors in South Africa.¹ While I knew it would cause a strain on our cash flow from book sales into stores, I didn't anticipate the severity of this temporary challenge.

We need to raise R120,000 by June 30th to bridge this transitional period and ensure we can continue our vital work. This will help us maintain our publishing schedule, pay our authors, and keep our small team operational while our new distribution system stabilizes.
